Why this exists.
The job search has lost the plot. We're rebuilding the part where a candidate and a real recruiter can find each other and talk plainly.
OpenLeaf is not a traditional job board. It’s a verified recruiter–candidate connection marketplace, built so good recruiters are easier to identify and candidates have the facts before they invest their time.
The first launch focuses on employee benefits, insurance brokerage, benefits administration, HR technology, benefits technology, and related account-management and client-service roles. Other industries come later.
The platform is direct, calm, serious, and human. It is not anti-recruiter; it is anti-guessing. Good recruiters deserve a credible place to be found. Candidates deserve to know what they’re walking into.
Not dreamed up in a boardroom.
This was built by someone living the same job search: ignored applications, vague listings, bills, debt, uncertainty, and the growing feeling that the entire system has forgotten what people are actually here for—a job.
A great recruiter can change the trajectory of a life.
After seven years as a stay-at-home mother, I was returning to the workforce afraid and trying to appear perfect. one recruiter Name withheld until permission is confirmed. treated me like a person and created enough trust for an honest conversation. Understanding my real goals and life needs allowed him to make an unusually strong match.
I had expected to earn about $50,000—maybe $60,000 if I was lucky. Instead, I returned at $95,000. More importantly, the experience restored my professional confidence and changed my future trajectory.
That experience is part of why this platform exists. The right recruiter does not just fill a position. They can change a life.
